Heat Transfer Vinyl T-shirts

Well, my DD bought me a heat press (T-shirt press for my non-crafty friends)last Christmas (2011) and I must admit I was intimidated as heck by it!!! I finally built up the nerve to pull it out and crank it up.  Here are some of my projects that I gave as Christmas presents this year.  I think I like it!!

This is my daughters sorority shirt.  The elephant is silver glitter HTV.

The back. There is bling in the middle of the flowers. (You know I had to!!)

More bling on the sleeve!

I made two of these, one for my MIL and one for my FIL, if you remember from my previous posts and pics about my FIL opening up the hang out spot in the back of their house.....the "tavern". Well, these shirts match the sign I made to go in the tavern.

Mail Carrier Ornament

Now I have to tell you the story behind my mail carrier.......My hubby and I went to family reunion (his side) way out in tim-buck-too. We had to introduce ourselves and tell where we were from. Well when I told where we lived another relative said,"oh my , you have a cousin that lives in the town right next to you, I would like for you to meet".  She goes and gets her and during the introductions, I stared at her and said, "you look very familiar, where do you work?" She said "I'm a mail carrier".  I said "Do you wear a floppy white hat?" She said "Why, yes I do!!" I screamed, "You're my mail lady!!!", She asked for our address and before I could finish it , she did!  Ever since then all my packages are placed very carefully on my front porch. Small world, because believe me when I tell you that reunion was way out in the middle of no where!!  I have never given a gift to the mail carrier because I never knew them before.  I made this last night, at the last minute.  I wasn't home when she got it but hubby said she was thrilled!

Charger Plate Initials

Cheery Snowman Card

This is a quick and easy card made with my Silhouette Cameo surely to brighten someone's day.

I got this snowman image from Deb's Ooodles of Doodles coloring pages, then traced it in my Silhouette Designer Software. I always draw a square or circle the size of the card I'm working on so I can get a true picture of how things are going to look. In this case 5.5 x 8.5.

I like to use the "negatives" of cuts to create a different look. Once you get your images weeded out, get out your trusted Zig glue pen.  I love this glue because when it wet it's permanent and when it's dry it's re-positional and it has a narrow point, just right for this size project.

Next, get your card ready. For this project I'm using an 8.5 x 11 sheet folded in half. I like to use shimmer cardstock. I love how it looks and feels. I also used white glitter cardstock to create the "snow" at the bottom of the card.
After I glued down the images I decided to add some dimension to the snowman by popping up his  hands and feet with pop dots. Now everyone who knows me, knows I can't complete a project without some bling somewhere!

So, get out the bling and finish off the project in style!!

These chargers are so much fun and easy to make. The first one is simply made using a hot glue gun, a cheap wreath cut in pieces and a little bling.

I just could not a get a good picture of this one. The color is much richer than it appears.

I burned two holes into this plate, for wall hanging,  using my Versa-Tool hot tool introduced to me by my friend Angie Torp while we were on a shopping spree one day. We had 50% off coupons and nothing else to buy, so Angie suggested we get these. At first, I never thought I would use it but wanted to have it "just in case".  It burned the holes cleanly and quickly.

 Another wall hanging charger

Here are two that I had posted on my Facebook page earlier but I love them so much I thought they were worth showing again

Thank you so much for stopping by. Your next stop should be with Elizabeth at www.217Creations.com

Christmas Cards

A few cards from past and present for you to view:

Real quick, simple card. Corner punch, ribbon, stickers and cardstock.

Glitter cardstock and stickles. Another really simple card. The ornament is from Cricut Tis the Season Cartridge.

The wreath was made using a Cuttlebug die and , of course, stickles!!

This is a sample of how to use both the positive and negative cuts from one die cut to make cards.
You get two cards with one cut.

SCAL for the poinsettas.

Cricut Imagine Enjoy the Seasons

Cricut Imagine Santa's Village

This is one of my favorite cards. The wreath was made with the Martha Stewart Branch punch. I glued twine around the outside of the glitter cardstock to give it some dimension. The font was cut using SCAL.

Cuttlebug embossing folder on an acrylic sheet. I used a white opaque maker to color in the the birds and the vines, place red cardstock behind it and top it off with a jingle bell sticker and a bow.

My first attempt with stamps!!

A few Christmas Presents

I can post these here because none of my relatives will see them. lol  Who knew my charger plates would be such a big hit with my family and friends?  I surely didn't!!  It was a lot of work but I enjoyed doing it. Most of the images came off of google images and from the Silhouette America store.  These are a few chargers I was asked to make for others as gifts. Most of these are for guys so no bling (sigh).

For my Father in law. He's retired from UGA, but a die-hard fan!!

I was asked to make this one for a gift for some Notre Dame fans.

For my Uncle, another die-hard Georgia fan

Get Well Card

This card was made using both the Cricut and the Silhouette Cameo.  I told ya, all my machines get along very well together!!!  lol

Christmas Buckets

I was asked to decorate these buckets for my friend's daughter and nieces.  (Remember now, these are 0.20 buckets from Michaels clearance event this past summer). She only wanted their name and nothing fancy to put small gifts in for Christmas.  (You know I had to add something, thus the little girl silhouette!!) She going to use them as "bucket stuffers" instead of stocking stuffers this year. She thought they were so cute. I really enjoyed seeing the look on her face when I gave them to her this morning.  It reminded me of why I do this.
