Joann's and Ross Crafty Haul!!!

Hey Peeps, I just wanted to share my Joann's haul with you.  Here's the story, my crafty friend and enabler, Sharondalyn,  went to Joann's about a week ago and she texted me to let me know that they had KC& Company stickers for .50¢ and  .97¢.  I said...."I'm not going, thanks"!!! Then she sent me another text on Wednesday and asked me again!!!!  Do you believe that???  Once again, I said "No, I'm not going!!!"
So Friday rolls around, I get off at 12:30 on Fridays, wouldn't you know it......Sharondalyn texted me again to tell me that her friend went and spent $50.00 and got a ton of stuff!!!  As much as I tried to ignore her, my car heard her load and clear ( this car gets me in so much trouble!) and dang if it didn't head towards Joanns!!!! I couldn't stop it!!!  So I had to give in when she, my car, pulled up and parked right?.  All I have to say is thank goodness I have an extra 10% off V.I.P. card!!!

Here's the damage!!

Rub-ons!!!
They also had these Disney Stickers for .50¢!!

Jolee's!!!  .97¢!!!

Miscellaneous Bling!!!  .50¢!!!

Ross--50 sheet paper packs from the Paper Company $3.49.  This is really nice and heavy cardstock! Some are textured and some are smooth. I love the colors!!

Okay, I just bought this cause it was cute!!! $4.99!!  Ross!!!

Yes ladies, I did leave some in the store for you.☺  If fact, there was a ton left.  The cashier said that they were staying overnight on Sunday to put out more clearance stuff for this week.  She showed me stacks of paper that had to be marked down and put out this week!
Well you guess it, Sharondalyn went to yet another Joann's after church and .......she texted me!!! "Girl they have paper for .10¢ a sheet, flowers, more bling and stickers!!!  But, aha!!! This time ladies, I DID NOT GIVE IN!!! (not yet anyway)

Happy Shopping!!!

4th of July Red, White and Blue Blog Hop! Day 3

I had the pleasure of participating in  the 4th of July Red, White and Blue Blog Hop!
Co-hosted by: Carter’s Crafting Corner and C’est La-Vie Designs Unlimited, LLC.

On this card, I tried my hand at using corrugated cardboard. I spray it with glimmer mist in red, white and blue, sanded the edges, added Washi tape (I'm newly addicted to this stuff) and a bow. I cut the image with my Cameo and layered it.
For this card I turned a cut image from the Silhouette store, into a print and cut. I just love this little Patriotic Bear!!  Isn't she a cutie?  Look at those eyes!! The bottom is flatten paper straws then embossed.

This is one of my favorite things to do.....decorate charger plates!!

It's challenging as well as fulfilling.  I just love to sit back and admire them once I'm finished. It's amazing how a simple plastic plate and some vinyl can transform into a work of art!

I've recently gotten into making these simple wreaths for the holidays.  You can find my tutorial here

My cards!!!

Washi Tape and Paper Straws!!

Vinyl- Positive and Negatives ( I never throw away anything!!)
Paper Straw Flag
This one, I just wanted to use my new background stamp!! Tee hee!! Also used my scraps!!
Here are two cards from my previous posts. I thought I would share them again.
Washi Tape and Paper Straws
I changed an Image from the Silhouette Store to a Print and Cut.
I used my Cameo and Cricut Imagine to make this one
Thank you so much for stopping by!!

4th of July Card with Washi tape and Paper Straws

It's almost that time of year again!!! 4th of July!!! I love this holiday, yes to celebrate our independence but also because of all the excitement that surrounds it. I love the fireworks, the colors, how people show their patriotism and the family gatherings. I think the 4th of July should be a week long celebration!!!

In this month's project for The Bug Bytes design team, I am using paper straws and Washi tape. These two things are new to me in my crafting experience and I wanted to see what I could do with them.

Here's the front of my card

Here's the inside

I have a bad habit of not sketching out my cards.  That is probably why it takes me so dang long to finish one!!!  I just tend to go with what comes to mind. I decided that I wanted to change a cut file in the Silhouette store to a Print and Cut file. I chose this Eagle banner. I cut out the banner but then I had no idea where to go from there.

So played around with another cut for the back ground, but I couldn't get it to come together so I trashed it!
I didn't want to waste all those cute little stars so I used them to go on top of the straws.  I colored them with my Copic markers.  Then I cut 3 pieces of straws at 2.25 inches and adhered them to the back of the banner, with my glue gun.
The straws will act as pop-up dots for your image.
Next I stamped fireworks onto to the front of the card and added my Washi tape at the top and bottom.
Then I placed the banner and straws on top of the card.  You can see how the straws lift the image off of the page for that dimensional look.

For the inside, I cut out the phrase "Happy 4th of July" with my Cameo. I stamped on a few stars and a flag.  I cut another straw at 4.25 inches, flattened it out with my brayer and used it as an accent on the bottom.

Again, the Paper straws and Washi tape is new to me, but I am thoroughly enjoying incorporating them into my crafts.  I am finding that when a card seems to be just "missing something" a little Washi or a decorative Paper straw goes a long way!!

See ya' next month and have a Happy 4th of July!!!
