Birthday card in a box plus bucket

This is a card I made for my friend Mazie. I can post it now because she's seen it now. The butterfly and tag are Spellbinder dies. The orange ribbon is white hug snug that I colored with glimmer mist spray. I embossed the orange background and added washi tape ( I love this stuff!!)

This is the inside of her card.  Now before you say something.....I use "heffa" as a term of endearment!!! Yuk, yuk, yuk!!!
She got a big kick out of this!

This is the box I made for it with my old fashion Enveloper.  I don't have that new thingamajig!

This is how the card looks inside the box. I love making the dimensional cards and boxes to match.

Here's the matching bucket I made for her. It was filled with washi tape, stamps and dies.

Thanks for looking, be sure to check back.  I'll be posting my DT project on the 11th.  I going to try to tackle some masculine cards (yuk).

Persistence Pays Off!!!

Persistence does pay off!!

I saw a card made with this stamp some time ago on the web and I said I must have it!  Well I googled and went to every website I could only to find out it was out of stock!!!  Refusing to be defeated, (yep, that's me) I track down the corporate office phone number for Loralie Designs. I called and left a message for someone to please call me about this stamp.

To my surprise I got a call back from a very nice lady by the name of Cari. She said that the stamp had been discontinued.  I was devastated!!!  But still I was going to try. I asked her if I could get at least 40 people interested in buying this stamp could she see if it could be reproduced.

Cari said that they had a meeting coming up and she would indeed ask.  I never thought I would hear back from her, so I continued on with my search.  I found one for 15.99 in British Columbia but the shipping was $24.95!!!  Did I really want this stamp that bad?  Heck yeah, but I decided to keep an eye out on Ebay and Facebook craft sells groups to see if I could luck up on one.

I'm so glad I waited, Cari did call back and they were going to bring back a limited amount of these stamps!!! She said she told them," Look, I have this lady who wants this stamp and she has at least 40 buyers ready to purchase them." They went for it!!  I give big kudos to Cari and the wonderful people at Loralie Designs.  It just goes to show that some companies do listen to their consumers.

I  was beside myself!!!  I ordered 60 stamps and sold them in them groups that had showed interest in buying them. I have about 4 left and 3 on hold(had some people back out of buying) if anyone is interested, just sent me a message to my email: cxxcxxcom.  The cost is $12.00 + $2.25
shipping. (Paypal and U.S. only)****SOLD OUT****

I love this stamp!  I think it's so versatile and can be used by any race or ethnicity.

Here's what I did with mine: (still learning Copics and will be taking a class soon)

Look at all that crafty goodness in the bag!

You can't see it good on here, but you her glasses are blinged out in gold!

This is another version done by Karen.  I met Karen in one of the Facebook groups.  She's really nice and pretty good at using the Copics.
Here's my friend's, Diane Roney creation. Now Diane is really awesome at using the Copic Markers.

See the different variations? This is the perfect stamp for crafters!

3-D Birdcage and Matching Card

Hello Peeps!!!  I hope all is well with you today.

For the last few weeks, I have really felt like I was in a crafting slump, so I decided to challenge myself with a 3-D project. I chose a birdcage from the Silhouette America online store. The designer is Rivka Wilkins and you can get the construction details here. It was a bit challenging but I must admit, I enjoyed it and I hope you like it.

3-D Birdcage and matching card: All blinged out!!

Close up of the card, this bird cage is also in the Silhouette store. The "For You" was cut using the Invitaion Font

Bathroom wall art

Hello everyone.
It's been a very busy time for me these last few weeks.  I was preparing for my daughter's 27th birthday so I didn't get too much craftiness for my self done. I did manage to revive our Master bathroom and the guest bathroom walls. It was a bit of a challenge for the guest bathroom as the hubby proclaims this to be his turf when we don't have company and he doesn't wanted it all "girlied up" like the master. If it were up to him, there would be nothing on our walls at all! I personally cannot stand to see a blank wall.  I think the walls need to have a little character, don't you?

Anyway, here's what I did: (I forgot to take before pics so I had to blot out the vinyl areas in the photo)

Before - The "Man" Bathroom

After-still masculine, but much nicer.

These are $2.00 towels I got on clearance.  This was my very first time using my embroidery machine!

Before -  Master Bath

After -  Master Bath

This piece is actually cut  for the "man" bathroom, but hubby wasn't having it. lol   I wasn't going to throw it away, so I found a spot in the Master Bathroom.

Now, these are some projects I did a long time ago for my daughter's home and I thought I'd share them with you also.  I actually did these with my Cricut!

The downstairs bathroom. I tried to coordinate everything!

Modge podge shoes,T-shirt and Birthday card for my daughter

Today is my daughter's 27th Birthday. She is my heart!!!
Last year I didn't make her a card and she looked at me kind of funny, so this year I decided I better get it right.

About 2 years ago she bought me an Heat Press for Christmas so I decided I needed to use it too and make her a T-shirt.  She is a huge Atlanta Falcons Fan so I made her a T-shirt and I decided to try my hand at Modge-Podging some shoes.

She loved them!!!

Here's my projects:

Seychel's Birthday card 8 x 8, I made it big so her friends could sign it.

I added real flatback pearls to her necklace and earrings on the photo. I could not get a good picture of them, but they added dimension.

I added silver stickles to the photo to make it look just like her real dress. When you touch it, it feels like sequins.

The inside of the card, plus it had some $$$ in it!!

Okay, here's the shoes. I was terrified making these!!!  This was my first attempt at Modge-Podge for shoes.  I didn't want to ruin the shoes. I was so stressed making these!! You have to cut little pieces and fit it one to the shoe.  I got okay when my biggest critic, my husband, gave his seal of approval. She had a "hissy fit" (southern slang) and immediately posted them on Insta-gram.  Her friend ask if I would be making any more because she wants some.  My answer.......HELL NO!!! I damn near pulled my hair out with these!!!

Back, I added Swarovski Crystals for Bling
(Y'all know I had to add some Bling!!)
