Simple Thanksgiving Card and Envelope

I made these quick and simple cards using my Cameo and designs from the Silhouette Store. The cornucopia is a cut file that I turned into a Print-N-Cut in the Silhouette Design Studio. I also used my Wink of Stella brush pens and Sakura Crystal Lacquer pens on the fruit.

There are 4 different styles.  They look similar in design but the Cardstock is different on each one.

Here's a close up of the cornucopia. I used Wink of Stella Gold to enhance it. I also used the Laquer Pens on the grapes, lemon and apples, but I decided I didn't like it on the grapes so I did the rest of the cards without it.
Without the Laquer Pen on the grapes, but still on the other fruit.

Folded Card, Tag and Gift Card Holder

Hello Peeps!

Some of you already know that I have been posting about my crafting retreats this month.  I had 3 back to back.  While they were a lot of fun, I am tired!!! I'll share with you one of the cards I made at the retreat this past weekend.  It's a folded card with a gift card tag. I bought a cardstock pad and matching brads and I wanted to see what I could come up with. I've never used brads. The collection is called "Bonjour" by GCD Studios.

The card is 6 x 6 with a pocket in the middle to hold the tag. I added gold washi tape and I used  Spellbinder dies for the flourishes on the front.

I cut the inside tag by hand along with the flowers at the top. The 2 brads are from the collection. I left a 2.5 inch open slot for the gift card

Circle Mania - My Operation Write Home Cards

Here are the cards I made for Operation Write Home. If you are not familiar with this project you can find out more by going to their website: http://operationwritehome.org/.  It is truly a worthy cause and anyone can do it. Just follow the guidelines. You can help make a soldiers day.

All of these cards were made with my Cameo (print and cut feature), Washi Tape and Dies, except the "Howdy Partner" is a Cricut cut from the Western Cartridge.

Circle Mania 2013 Make-n-Takes

I did not get to participate in all the make-n-takes at mania this time (too busy shopping!!) I did get to participate in one of Renee Cooper's Christmas cards make-n-takes though. I call it the "Speed Card Class" because we made 12, yes 12 cards in about an hour!!!  We did the basics there and I took mine home to add a few embellishments.

Renee is an amazing teacher and so talented.  Check out her blog here: You will see some amazing crafts!!

Anywho, here are the cards: (oh and we got to keep all the extra paper, tags and labels in the kit!)

Circle Mania, Crop T-shirt and Calling Card

Hello everyone!!

This month has and is going to be just crazy for me. I have a crop every weekend up until Thanksgiving and even one after that. Whew!!! There was not much crafty time for me to come up with projects other than what I did for the crops, so I'll share them with you.

I attended a crop last weekend at a friends house where I was able to get 30 card bases ready for Operation Write Home, (OWH) cards for soldiers. This may not sound like much, but those who know me now I never do ANYTHING at crops other than socialize!!!

This weekend I am attending a 3 day crop called Circle Mania. It's a huge semi annual event hosted by Paulette Trent (Scrapalette) in Alpharetta, Ga.  Crafters from all over attend. Provo Craft(the makers of Cricut/Cuttlebug) came last year bearing gifts and is schedule to attend this year as well. They are providing us with lunch on Saturday and bringing a special guest!!!  I can't wait to see who it is!!  We always have a lot of fun and leave with a lot of gifts and crop bags!!!  I will post more pictures throughout the coming weeks. Also, the Maniacs always turn in cards for OWH. Our goal is 1000 cards, so far I have 70 made!

Be sure to click on the links to get more information about the events I mentioned above. OWH is great for those you who like to make cards and it serves a great purpose. Check out the link.

Okay, lets start with the calling card. It is a 3"x3" trading card for crafters. It usually has a theme, and you make a card for however many are attending the crop, in this case 50. Here's mine for mania:

I use the Crafty Girl Stamp, scaned it into my Silhouette software (ya, I know, not Cricut) and colored it. Normally I would use my Copics, but this was 50 cards!!! The actual size of the girl is 2.50 inches!!! I also did the Chevron background with my software.
Here's a close up shot.
I put my name on the craft bag and I made my Cuttlebug the new Anna Griffin one! See all the supplies in the bag??

I try to make a gift for each Mania event I attend.  This time I made a charger. It's not clear whether or not this will be a give-away or a hostess gift. So far none of my gifts have made it to give-ways!!!  lol.

I also made "me" a matching T-shirt with my heat press.
Here's both together
Here's the back of the shirt

Thanks for looking and be sure to check back soon as I will be posting more pictures from Mania and my other upcoming crops.
