Memorial Cards

This is what I've been doing for the past week!  Making memorial cards.  While I love making these cards, I hate the occasion, but I love giving family and friends something personal to remember loved ones by. There is a total of 19 cards here.  I made one card each but when other family members saw them, the requests came in for more.
Boxed up and ready to go!
The first card I made for a friend. Then she sent me a different picture (below) to make more for her family.

This is the same loved one, different picture, 16 cards total
Close up card 2, I had to make 3 more of these.

I don't usually post these type of cards out of respect but I had the blessings of the recipients.

Thank You Cards

I was asked to make these three Thank You Cards for one of my daughter's friends (ya, she volunteers my services!!!) I didn't mind though because I love making cards and her requirements were quite simple. The cards are blank on the inside for her to write her sentiments.

This one was cut using my Cameo and a card from the Silhouette store. I added the Mom and Dad, cut into the card with a white liner.
This is also a card from the Silhouette store.  Again, I just added my own touch.
This card was made with The Teresa Collins embossing folder for the Ebosser.  I inked the inside of the embossing folder to get the look on the squares. The embossing folder is 8.5 x 11.  I cut the squares off the folder, mounted the center one with pop dots and embellised with Candi dots. This is the best picture I could get because of the silver card stock.

Thanks for looking!!

Valentines Day Cards

Here's a few more cards I made for Valentines Day.

I made this one for my daughter to give to her boyfriend.

Just playing around with this one because I wanted to use the image that is on the inside
This is the image (inside card) that prompted me to make this card.  I love this image!

I did a different color spin on this one.  I love it too!!

Thanks for looking and I hope you all had a wonderful Valentines Day!!!

Happy Valentines Day!!!

Hello everyone!!!  I hope you all are having a wonderful Valentines Day!!!

Today I'm sharing with you the card I made for my hubby for Valentines Day.
.

The inside:

How is was made:
The bear is an image from the Silhouette store.
I used a 5x7 white card base and used a dauber to add the red color to it. The ink is Memento Lady Bug.
Next I cut the next layer in red at 5 x 6.5. Then another layer using the "Smitten" cardstock from K & Company (5 x 6.25). Then I cut a 6.5 diagonal strip to go across this and a .50 inch strip  to go on the bottom and added some lace trim.
Then I centered my little bear in the middle, added a sentiment and white Candi dots.  That's it!!

Additional products used:
Martha Stewart Holidays card stock (sentiment)
Fiskars Beary Fun Stamp
Fiskars Holiday Hooplah stamps.
Wink of Stella Brush Markers (ears, nose and paws)

Thanks for looking!!

Purple & Black Silhouette Creative Challenge

I've been in a slump for quite a while.  I made a few things because I was asked and they were pretty easy, but I just didn't feel like being creative.  You know, sometimes your "Mojo" just goes away.

My dear friend Felisa Montee encouraged me to participate in the "Purple & Black Silhouette Creative Challenge" for Scraps of Color to try to get me back creating. It definitely helped, especially trying to put these colors together!

Here are the rules for the challenge:
This month, why not try out a card, layout, journaling page, or altered piece featuring the following:
  • the color purple
  • a black silhouette (of any kind; face, body, object, etc)
  • bling
  • a monogram
  • as an optional bonus: something sweet (...we couldn't leave v-day out all together could we...?!)

I definitely enjoyed this challenge and I will try to participate in more of these type challenges.

Here's my card:
Inside: This is an image from the Silhouette Store.  It is cut out of card stock.

Close up: Glossy Accents used on some of the hearts

Thanks for looking and hopefully there will be more to come.
