Valentine Bear

Well I finally sat down and watched several videos to learn how to work my #CricutExplore. I have had it for months now and have never really done anything fancy with it. I decided I wanted to learn the "slice" feature that I keep hearing about. It actually ended up being pretty easy. Since I am pretty well versed in using the Designer Edition of the Silhouette Cameo, I was able to incorporate a few work-arounds for issues I ran into, rather than starting over. Example: I made the hole to big for the nose. I sliced another circle and welded inside the nose to make the hole smaller. See, using my knowledge to work programs.

Here's my little Valentine Bear that I made with the Dollar Tree lip balm for the nose. Isn't he a cutie?
I but the bear at 4.25 x 5.75 and the circle is 1.18 inches. The bear is from the
Cricut Cartridge Teddy Bears on Parade.
The crad stock is Martha Stewart's Holidays.
Here's the lip balm.
Some say it's the "knock-off" version of the EOS
(Evolution of Smooth) lip balm, but the Revo version sells for for $9.99 each on Amazon so I don't consider that a knock off!

Well back to learning more about #Design Space!

  1. Oh, Danita, I love the Slice feature to create my own "punches" in my project. I did a post for Sheila's blog last month on that. Your bear is too cute. Is that a card? What a great idea for Valentine's Day for my granddaughters - except I'd have to buy the real thing for those fussies.
