Robert Jackson challenge

 Hello peeps!

I participated in a card challenge with one of my Facebook groups using one of the Robert Jackson digital stamp images. You had to download the image, color it and use a matting.  I haven't attempted to color in a long time and I'm definitely not an expert but I enjoyed trying.

What I used: Copic Markers for the image (Robert Jackson)
Stampin Up inks for the background
                      Spellbinders Matting Basics (pink)
                      Gemini Wisteria Die Set (flowers)

Enjoy your day!

Graduation Cards

I made these last-minute graduation cards for the neighborhood kids. I used their school colors to design this card, fortunately, they attend the same school.  The center was designed and cut with my Silhouette Cameo.

Birthday Card

This is another card I made from my Hobby Lobby haul. The die is Sizzix "Build A Cake". The cardstock is from DCWV "Bella Armoire" stack. I've had this card stock for years and never used it. It came in handy today.  This is also my first attempt at making a monochrome-type card.

To the Moon…

Here's a card from my Hobby Lobby haul. This die is called "Moon and Back" by Spellbinders. It was challenging because there are a lot of little pieces and not really any prototypes to refer to but I like how it turned out. The moon and phrase are silver glitter cardstock and the other elements (minus the clouds) are silver mirror cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by!

Inspirational Cards

I had a request to make some simple Inspirational Cards. I was stressed at first because I was told to “just do your thing”. Ugh!!! I hate that! So much pressure! Also, I  rarely make duplicate cards so there’s that pressure. I made 2 of each card.  Sentiments and images are from the Silhouette Store and Google. Cardstock is from Capital Chic designs, Hobby Lobby and Fun Stampers Journey.

Hello Card

I love this die set by Spellbinders. It’s called Lemon Zest. It took me a while to come up with this card because there's not much you can do with lemons and paper. I always overthink things and that adds to my delayed creativity. I printed the lemon paper myself to coordinate with the theme of the card.

As always, thank you for stopping by.

Beach Babe

I was supposed to be cleaning my house today instead I ended up playing around with my new Spellbinders die. We will be heading to the beach soon for a mini vacation and family reunion so I thought this card would be fun to make for my trip.

The die set is called "Day at the Beach". I have a few mistakes on it but I love the way it ended up turning out. I used my Cameo for the sunglasses, beach ball, cooler, clouds and flower. I think I’ll make another soon... after I clean my house!😅

Sympathy Card

This is the type of card you dread making but you know that you have to put your heart into it. For this card, I used an embossing folder by Sheena Douglas called Luscious Loosestrife. I've had it for quite some time but never came up with a way to use it until now. I used Copper Shimmer cardstock from Michaels and boy let me tell you, it is hard to stamp on it without it smearing. I know to use Staz On but I didn't have any Navy Blue so used Ranger Denim Ink and heat set it. It worked. The butterflies were created with the Martha Stewart 3 in 1 Butterfly Punch.

Inside: Sentiment is Justrite Caring Thoughts stamp set.

Sympathy Card

I loved the way this card turned out, even though it's for a sad occasion. I used the Impression Obsession Calla Lilly stamp. The embossing folder I used is from Crafters Companion, it's called the Leaf Vein folder. "With Sympathy" is from the Close To My Heart Sincere Expressions stamp set.

Nurse Graduation Card

I was asked to make a card for a young lady that just finished Nursing School. Her Mom said she loves my cards so you know I had to make it extra special. I finally used the wobbles that I’ve had for years and never used. They’re really kind of fun but placement is everything.

I designed everything in the Silhouette studio.

PhD graduation card

I made this card for my cousin that recently graduated and earned her Ph.D. in Christian Ministry. She has accomplished so much over the last few years. She faced many obstacles but kept her faith!

All images and designs were created using my Silhouette software.

Christmas Cards

This is the first batch of Christmas Cards that I’m sending out. I ended up needing more than I thought so I had to make more. I’ll post those later.  The design is from the Silhouette store. I added sparkle to the berries with my red stickles, something I hadn’t used in a very long time.

Thanks for looking and have an awesome day!

80Th Birthday Card & Envelope

I was asked to make a birthday card for a friend’s mother-in-law using specific colors, purple and gold. It took me a whole week but I finally came up with this design. My friend said her Mother in Law was so happy to receive it and that she was going around showing it to all her friends. That made me happy.   All cuts were designed and cut with my silhouette cameo.

Happy Veterans Day!

A special “Thank You” to all the men and women in the U.S. military, past and present. Your service to our country is truly appreciated.

It was my pleasure to make these two cards for two of my dear friends. One served in the Army and the other in the Marine Corps. I also wanted to commemorate my brother, Leonard Hines, who proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Continue to Rest In Peace dear brother.

The card design is from the Silhouette Design Store, of course with my added touch.

Go out and thank a Veteran today, surely it will make their day!
