Prima Doll Challenge

I was in a card challenge where we were asked to use a Prima Doll with a Fall theme. I like the Prima Dolls but I don’t like the blank faces, so I used my Silhouette software to change it. I used COPIC markers to color and my software for the elements. Of course, I’m an Atlanta Falcons fan so I had to incorporate that!

Inspirational Card

I made this card for my friend’s son who was in basic training for the Air Force.  He was having a  difficult time adjusting. You know the jitters about being away from home for the first time, new challenges and adventures, and meeting new people.  I also enclosed a personal letter to him about life and told him of a few of my friends that are now retired from the Air Force and doing great in life. He is finished now and did very well.

Google images and Silhouette print n cut were used on this card.

My friend said he appreciated the cards he got.
That made me happy to have sent him one.

Masculine Get Well Card

In one of my Facebook groups, Scraps of Color, we were asked to make a Get Well Card for Robert Jackson. Robert is the artist/owner of digisbyrobertjackson.com. We were asked to use an image from his collection to make the card.  I chose this one, it's called "His Prayer". I tried my hand again at coloring with the Copic Markers. I'm getting a little bit more comfortable coloring but it's still not my favorite thing to do, I get too nervous.  I wanted the Church Window to look like stained glass so  I used Glossy Accents to create that illusion.  (see picture below).

Masculine Cards - Stampin Up Wild Cats

These are 2 cards made with the Stampin Up Wild Cats dies and stamps and the Stampin Up Diorama dies.  I loved making these. I didn't have anyone in mind when I made them but I'll be ready for any male birthdays, inspirational or sympathy cards.

Masculine Birthday Card

Y’all are gonna get tired of seeing this one! I love this stamp set from Stampin Up! It’s called Wild Cats. I used it with the Diorama dies, also from Stampin Up. I did some ink shading on the backgrounds.

Father’s Day Card 2021

This year's card for my Father in law. I almost didn't make one this year but then I remembered he said that he keeps all my cards. I saw a similar card on Pinterest and decided to give it a try. The teal is actually gold foil done with my Heidi Swapp Minc machine.  Everything else was designed and created in the Silhouette software.

Masculine Birthday Card

I was late this year for my Father in Law’s birthday. I had been fawning over a paper pad that I was finally able to get from Michaels. Now, this paper pad is special because it’s by my friend Lameka Alston of Capitol Chic designs. Check her out! She has Afrocentric paper, stamps and stickers. Very culturally diverse.

The front element is Contemporary Diamonds by Spellbinders. The front greeting is from Hero Arts Greetings. The inside was designed by me in my Silhouette software.

With much appreciation,

Graduation board

This is the first of a few items I made for our family graduates. This was challenging because the board is so wide and tall (36x48) and I’m short! I don’t think that I will ever make another one! I created everything on this board with the help of my Cameo 4. I got the pictures off of Facebook and edited them in my Silhouette software. I did print and cuts on the football player and the Cougar, everything else is either cardstock or vinyl.

Here's another Get Well Card I made for my friend/Sorority Sister's husband. I used the Crafters Companion "Sorry" stamp and die set and the Darice "Argyle" embossing folder. I stamped the sentiments with Stampin Up Blue Bayou ink.

Roblox Birthday Card

This was a card request from one of my cards groups. It's for a little boy with Autism along with several other medical issues. His mother requested cards for his birthday this year to make it extra special. He loves Roblox. I had no idea that was but Mr. Google cam through.  I did a print and cut for this card and personalized it with his name.

Masculine Birthday Card - Foil Quill

This card was for my Father-in-law's birthday. I had just gotten my Foil Quill from HSN and decided to use it. It's really an easy tool to use, once you find the right images to use. Single line items give you the best results. The border, cake and balloons are from the Silhouette Design Store. The font  has a double line in the middle of each letter. I choose this font because it gives the appearance of solid fill.

Father's Day Card for the Hubster!

My Father's Day card for my husband. The front is symbolic because he is a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc and one of their most used symbols is the diamond. Their colors are Crimson and Cream thus the colors of the card.  Needless to say, he loved it.

The front frame is from the Silhouette Store. I made the diamond frame using the replicate feature in the Silhouette Software.

All the images and frames are from the Silhouette Store. I love how the inside frame (below) cut
so effortlessly, even the delicate antlers.

Father's Day Card

I tried my hand a water coloring with pencils. While not perfect, I loved coloring this card (the fish needs work but maybe next time!) I used images from my Stampin Up "Best Catch" stamp set.  I stamped the images, scanned and resized them to fit this card. The inside is a phrase from the Silhouette store. Be sure to check out the inside below!

Speedy Recovery Card

This was a card request for someone's father.  He does roofing for a living and had the unfortunate plight of slipping off of one and breaking his ankle.  Also, it's his birthday so I had to do two in one. The card was designed and cut with my Silhouette Cameo.

All Geared up Valentine's Day Card

I tried to emulate a card I saw on Pinterest for my hubby's Valentine's Day card. It didn't come out as nice as the one I saw but I'm okay with it. I gave him this card and a Lottery Ticket bouquet, which I'll post on my blog next.
