Asian Themed Thank You Card

I was commissioned to make a special "Thank You Card" for a friend for her Asian American boss. She also wanted her boss's favorite quote on the inside.  It took me a week to come up with this design.  Lots of heat embossing and foiling.

I used a stamp set that I've had for a long time. It's called  "Alvin - Asian Themed Stamp Set". I used the cherry blossom background stamp on burgundy watercolor paper, then heat embossed it with metallic gold embossing powder.   I printed the "Thank You" with my laser printer and used my Minc machine to gold foil it. 

The lanterns Crafters Companion Chinese Lanterns and Spellbinders Dancing Lanterns cut in mirror gold cardstock and backed with black cardstock.

Quick and easy Thank you cards

I was asked to make a thank you card for a friend. I saw one similar to this one on Pinterest and decided it fit the bill.

Collar Card

I made this card for the "Collar Card Challenge" for a Facebook group that I belong to.
The host gave us the directions (I'll share at the end of this post), and challenged us to make and post our cards.

I went with a French theme using paper from Authenique "Classique: Pretty Collection". The black border is Washi Tape from Dollar Tree and the Eiffel Tower is from the Silhouette store and Merci is cut with my Cameo.

Collar Card Directions

Basic Directions - Compliements of Ginger Pelfry

Instructions: 

Double Sided Cardstock - 5" x 3 3/4"

At 2 1/2", cut 1 1/2" down

Fold back flaps 

Sold paper 5 1/4" x 4"

Tape or glue Double Sided Cardstock to solid paper, use scissors to trim flap side.

I followed the basic directions then I added my own twist on it, like adding the black trim on the collar. You can change it up any way you like. It's such an easy a versatile card.

Thank You Cards for my UPS guy & my Mail Carrier

Of course I had to make some Christmas cards for the people who make me the happy and keep my hobby going.

One is for my UPS guy who always takes great care with my packages. He even hides them, if needed. He knows we get home late and live in the boonies so he makes our house one of his last stops. I think really that he just likes to play with our doggy, Frisco, because he will ring the doorbell and just wait when he knows we are home. Then he spends a few minutes playing with Frisco and gives him treats.

The other one is for our Mail Carrier, whom we found out at a family reunion, a few years back, that she was related to us. Hey, enough said....our mail is handled with care, unless she's on vacation! lol

My husband and I decided to give them both gifts cards to use as they like. They deserve it.

The cut file is a paid file from #svgcuttingfiles.com. You can click on the link to purchase. It's called Delivery Man. I used my Cameo to turn the file into a card and create the logos.

Cards made with the Misti Stamping Tool

I finally got to try out the Misti Stamping Tool on the retreat I went on last week. I must say that I am impressed! I never would have gotten these images this clear without it. The red flower one is a 3 layer stamp. While I didn't choose the best colors for it, I like the effect. I have always had trouble with stamping on dark cardstock. I either put too much ink or not enough. I stamped the black one very light at first, then repeated it until I got a clear, solid white image.

This is the white ink on black cardstock. The stamp is Stampin Up Thoughts and Prayers 1.

This is Stampin Up Lotus Blossum. Like I said before, I didn't you the best colors but you get the idea. lol

The Misti is pricey (you know I got it when she had a sale) but I think it is well worth it. If you buy it direct from the seller, My Sweet Petunia, it's about $10.00 cheaper than the other vendor that is selling them.

Now if you Google it, there are a few DIY stamping tools out there that you can use instead.

Thank you cards and Matching T-shirts

Whew!!! This was a huge project (for me anyway) for my daughter's travel group. They took 42 of their clients on a cruise and wanted something "special", as she put it, to give to them. 

It wasn't so much that it was 42 Thank You cards and 7 T-shirts, it was the fact that it was a time limit. A last minute time limit at that! lol

It got done and she helped out a lot on the cards. I think she finally realizes what goes into making things by hand. In the end, I think everything turned out okay, considering the rush.

Everything was designed and cut with my #Silhouette Cameo. 

This is the card for their clients. 

 Inside of card. It looks blue here but it is actually Teal.

 Here are the matching T-shirts. The Vinyl is Teal except for the palm tree which is glitter black. Each shirt was personalized with their names.

 You know I had to have some bling somewhere!! lol

 Here's my daughter with her boyfriend in the shirts. She said they were so busy they forgot to take a group photo of them wearing their T-shirts. I'm not happy about that, but oh well, this will do!

I'm so proud of my daughter and all the members of the #Talented Tenth Travel Group. They are passionate about their work and are doing a fantastic job. There were no complaints about their excursion, in fact many of the clients can't wait to travel with them again and they picked up a few new ones! This is their "side" job. They all have full time jobs! It's refreshing to see young people go after their dreams and work so hard to obtain it.  I wish them much success in the future!

Thank You Cards

I was asked to make these three Thank You Cards for one of my daughter's friends (ya, she volunteers my services!!!) I didn't mind though because I love making cards and her requirements were quite simple. The cards are blank on the inside for her to write her sentiments.

This one was cut using my Cameo and a card from the Silhouette store. I added the Mom and Dad, cut into the card with a white liner.

This is also a card from the Silhouette store.  Again, I just added my own touch.

This card was made with The Teresa Collins embossing folder for the Ebosser.  I inked the inside of the embossing folder to get the look on the squares. The embossing folder is 8.5 x 11.  I cut the squares off the folder, mounted the center one with pop dots and embellised with Candi dots. This is the best picture I could get because of the silver card stock.

Thank you card

First let me get this laugh out!!!! Bahahahahaha!!! Ahem....okay.

My mother in law asked me to make a thank you card for someone whom had made her a delicious red velvet cake, just because.  I didn't have much time to make it (a few hours really) so this is what I came up with.  I'm laughing because it was so simple yet appropriate that it is funny (to me anyway). I left the inside blank so my MIL could write a personal sentiment.
