Inspirational Card

I made this card for my friend’s son who was in basic training for the Air Force.  He was having a  difficult time adjusting. You know the jitters about being away from home for the first time, new challenges and adventures, and meeting new people.  I also enclosed a personal letter to him about life and told him of a few of my friends that are now retired from the Air Force and doing great in life. He is finished now and did very well.

Google images and Silhouette print n cut were used on this card.

My friend said he appreciated the cards he got.
That made me happy to have sent him one.

Happy Veteran's Day!!

"On this Veterans Day, let us remember the service of our veterans, and let us renew our national promise to fulfill our sacred obligations to our veterans and their families who have sacrificed so much so that we can live free." -- Dan Lipinski

I made this card for my friend. She expects a card from me every year and I try to oblige. I won this die from Amazing Paper Grace on Instagram.  It is called "Elegant Reveal Shutter Card".  The little bow is from Spellbinders.

Veteran's Day

"We can never fully repay the debt owed to those who’ve served or continue to serve our nation, but on #VeteransDay we honor them for all they’ve given, and all they’ve sacrificed. Happy Veterans Day to all vets and their families."
Rep. Gregory Meeks, 5th District, NY

I love this statement! I salute all our Veterans past and present.

This card is for one of my favorite Veterans.

Congratulations - Army Enlistment Card

One of my employees just got accepted into the US Army. I made this 8 x 8 card for everyone to sign for her. Needless to say, she started crying. She will be missed but I'm proud of her trying to improve her life for her and her family.

The front is our company logo and army boot imprints.
I had a little fun with the inside. I glittered up the helmet, knee straps and boot toes.

There is a Message Board on the back of the card as well. I did the entire card with my Silhouette Design Studio software.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Veterans Day!!!!

Thank you to the Men and Women would served to defend our Nation. We appreciate your sacrifice.

This is my yearly card for one of my favorite Veterans, Dana. I got her spoiled. She expects a card every year.  I haven't been feeling too well lately but I knew I had to pull it together to get this card done.

Also, I like to  pay homage to my brother, Leonard C. Hines, Jr., another Army Veteran that served our country in the Vietnam War.  R.I.P brother. I love and miss you.

Operation Write Home

I almost forgot!!!!  Here are some cards I made for OWH (cards for soldiers) at the Circle Mania event I attended. I'm proud of myself because I actually turned in 15 cards!!!  That's a lot for me especially in one day!! We earned 1 ticket for every 5 cards we turned in.  The winning ticket got the grand prize, which was a new Cricut E2.

The goal was to get 1000 cards, we ended up with 995, but..............Annette was making 5 more cards that day to make it 1000, so we made it!!!

I also learned how to use washi tape as you can see on the cards. I think I like it. I really didn't get why people are going crazy over washi tape. I now see that it can actually make a card "pop", add color and/or depth. I'm not going to run out and buy hundreds of rolls, but I have added a few to my stash.

I also included some pictures of some of the other amazing cards turned in at Mania for OWH. I know I didn't get a shot of all of the cards, but I posted what I did.
