Asian Themed Thank You Card

I was commissioned to make a special "Thank You Card" for a friend for her Asian American boss. She also wanted her boss's favorite quote on the inside.  It took me a week to come up with this design.  Lots of heat embossing and foiling.

I used a stamp set that I've had for a long time. It's called  "Alvin - Asian Themed Stamp Set". I used the cherry blossom background stamp on burgundy watercolor paper, then heat embossed it with metallic gold embossing powder.   I printed the "Thank You" with my laser printer and used my Minc machine to gold foil it. 

The lanterns Crafters Companion Chinese Lanterns and Spellbinders Dancing Lanterns cut in mirror gold cardstock and backed with black cardstock.

Sympathy Card

 I made this card for my friend and her husband. Her husband lost his mother reently.  I used Anna Griffin Vintage Card Toppers in the design of this card along with DCWV Paper Lace Doilies.

It didn't photograph well, but I used my Anna Griffin Minc to foil the inside in gold

to match the doily.

Stylist Birthday Card

Card Request - Creative Card Angels

Birthday Card requested for a young lady who is also a hair stylist.  I love this file! I don't know who to give credit too but it was listed in the files section in one of the Facebook groups. I printed the image on my laser printer and used my Anna Griffin Minc and light purple foil.

I made this card for a special friend of mine that I met on the Cricut Cruise (crafting) back in 2012. We, along with my two other special friends, speak everyday via email or text. These ladies have become a part of my life and I treasure them dearly.

I used DCWV Mercury Glass Cardstock and the Anna Griffin Mix & Match Embossing folders along with the the Anna Griffin Minc and Heidi Swapp 3D Flowers. It's very hard to photograph foil but I hope you can see the details. It's really all gold foil and white.

Thanksgiving Card

This card was made with a napkin and glitter. It's an old technique but I'm just getting around to trying it. I love how it turned out. Unfortunately it was impossible to get a good picture.

Here's a closeup. You can kind of see the glitter a little better here.

Sweet Sunday Sketch card challenge #293

I decided to do a fall theme for this card sketch. I used the Spellbinders M-Bossabilities  Floral Labels Four embossing folder. I sanded the flowers and vines, then  I used a Wink of Stella gold glitter pen to highlight the embossed areas.  The sentiment is done in copper foil using my Anna Griffin Minc. The leaf and acorns are stickers from Dollar Tree. (yes, Dollar Tree!)

It is hard to photograph the foil because of the reflection, but hopefully you can see it enough to get the idea. It's really pretty.

Anna Griffin Minc - Foil and Glitter Machine

I finally had some time to play with my new foiling machine from #Anna Griffin, called the Minc. I love this little machine! Now I can bling out all my cards with little effort!

The package from HSN came with a lot of cuts and foil, but for these cards I used the Deco Foil that I found on clearance at Micheals. I wanted to practice before using all the pretty colored foil that came with the machine. It came out flawlessly! So yes you can use other foils with the Minc.

I'm cheap so I used both the positive and negative images of the foil. That foil sheet was blank by the time I finished with it! lol  I foiled on white cardstock first as seen here:

Then I took the negative and ran it through the Minc on a black toner sheet and got this effect:

I did the same for the labels.

 I forgot to take pictures of the card bases (got too excited) but here's an example of the labels. You lay the negative on the black toner sheet,

 And run it through the Minc.

 I created and cut my own designs for future use with my Cameo print and cut feature.  I printed the images out on regular paper with registration marks, took them to work and copied them onto cardstock with our laser copier, came home and cut them out. Most laser printers/copier machines will on take up to 65lb, cardstock, so you make want to check your printer/copier's specs before proceeding.

Overall this is a great little machine and I'm looking forward to creating with it some more. I'll be "Minc-ing" everything!!!
