Inspirational Cards

I had a request to make some simple Inspirational Cards. I was stressed at first because I was told to “just do your thing”. Ugh!!! I hate that! So much pressure! Also, I  rarely make duplicate cards so there’s that pressure. I made 2 of each card.  Sentiments and images are from the Silhouette Store and Google. Cardstock is from Capital Chic designs, Hobby Lobby and Fun Stampers Journey.

Hello Card

I love this die set by Spellbinders. It’s called Lemon Zest. It took me a while to come up with this card because there's not much you can do with lemons and paper. I always overthink things and that adds to my delayed creativity. I printed the lemon paper myself to coordinate with the theme of the card.

As always, thank you for stopping by.

Inspirational Card

I made this card for my friend’s son who was in basic training for the Air Force.  He was having a  difficult time adjusting. You know the jitters about being away from home for the first time, new challenges and adventures, and meeting new people.  I also enclosed a personal letter to him about life and told him of a few of my friends that are now retired from the Air Force and doing great in life. He is finished now and did very well.

Google images and Silhouette print n cut were used on this card.

My friend said he appreciated the cards he got.
That made me happy to have sent him one.

Masculine Cards - Stampin Up Wild Cats

These are 2 cards made with the Stampin Up Wild Cats dies and stamps and the Stampin Up Diorama dies.  I loved making these. I didn't have anyone in mind when I made them but I'll be ready for any male birthdays, inspirational or sympathy cards.

Breast Cancer Awareness card

Hello everyone. Ladies have you gotten your mammogram in the past year? If not, do so! It’s important to catch any abnormalities early.

I made the card for a Facebook challenge in one of my groups. I dropped my brown ink pad on the front of my card. Ugh! I tried to cover it up as best I could.

Supplies used: Recollections Stamp set (sorry no name)
                         Image - Robert Jackson images
                         fonts from the Silhouette Store

Go get your mammogram!!!

Care to join me?

I made this card for a challenge in one of my Facebook groups. The main image (woman with pillow) is by Robert Jackson.  I can’t color very well but I pulled out my COPIC Markers to give it a go. The sofa and lamp are cut images from the Silhouette Store with added embellishments. The doggie is a Google image that I transferred to a print and cut.

Have an awesome day!!

Graduation Card 2020

I was asked to make my friends' daughter a card to help brighten her day since she cannot attend her graduation in person this year due to COVID -19.  I used her school colors to make this card and put an inspirational message on the inside.

Inspirational Card

This is my second attempt at inking an embossing folder. This one didn't turn out too well but it's ok, I'm not sending it to anyone. I really just wanted to use my stamp. It's from Crafter's Companion and is called "Violin Solo". I fussy cut the Violin and mounted it on top of the folder. The embossing folder is also from Crafter's Companion and is called "Seasonal Music".

Get Well Card

This is a card request from one of my Facebook groups.  The young lady has a brain lesion that is causing her a lot of pain and other medical issues.  Her mother requested cards to cheer her up.  She said that Haylen is missing her dog more than ever, a little white Maltese/Bichon mix. I found an image as close to her little doggy as I could and did a print and cut. I hand embossed the bottom of the card to make it look like flooring. I hope it brought a smile to her face.

Because I care

I was playing around with my embossing folders and embossing powders and this is what I came up with. It's hard to get a good photo because of all the shimmer but it's really shiny.  I love it!

Speedy Recovery Card

This was a card request for someone's father.  He does roofing for a living and had the unfortunate plight of slipping off of one and breaking his ankle.  Also, it's his birthday so I had to do two in one. The card was designed and cut with my Silhouette Cameo.
