Father’s Day Cards

 This year’s Father’s Day Cards were created with a design from the Silhouette Store. Of course, I’m extra so I had to add some extra elements. They all fold flat to fit in a 5x7 envelope. I added a cute message on the back of each one for the recipient.

Father’s Day Card 2021

 This year's card for my Father in law. I almost didn't make one this year but then I remembered he said that he keeps all my cards. I saw a similar card on Pinterest and decided to give it a try. The teal is actually gold foil done with my Heidi Swapp Minc machine.  Everything else was designed and created in the Silhouette software.

Father's Day Card for the Hubster!

My Father's Day card for my husband. The front is symbolic because he is a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc and one of their most used symbols is the diamond. Their colors are Crimson and Cream thus the colors of the card.  Needless to say, he loved it.

The front frame is from the Silhouette Store. I made the diamond frame using the replicate feature in the Silhouette Software.

I made this card for my Father-in-law that is lovingly known as...you guessed it, Buck!

Father's Day Card

I tried my hand a water coloring with pencils. While not perfect, I loved coloring this card (the fish needs work but maybe next time!) I used images from my Stampin Up "Best Catch" stamp set.  I stamped the images, scanned and resized them to fit this card. The inside is a phrase from the Silhouette store. Father's Day Cards

I would like to wish all the Father's  (and those stepping in as Fathers) a very Happy Father's Day today and I hope that you are honored in a way that you truly deserve.

Here's my cards for this year.  They were fun to make and mass produce.

I used the Tim Holtz "Globe" die for the focal point. I've had this die for some time and have never used it. All the other images came from the Silhouette Store. I made each card a little different from the next and each has a special message to it's recipient. ( see the inside at the bottom).

You're a Classic Father's Day Cards

Here's the last of my Father's Day Cards. Somehow I ended up making way more FDCs than I did for Mother's Day! How did that happen? Oh yeah, now I remember....I got request for them!

I did two of each design, 8 total. The cars flip open and says "One of A Kind!" and the inside of the card says "Happy Father's Day.

Shirt Cards

Yesterday I saw some really cute shirt cards on Facebook and decided to give it a try. So off to   You-tube I went. I found this very good video  by Brenda Keenan and followed her instructions. I had a little trouble with the tie at first (green shirt) but finally I got it. I haven't decided what to do with them yet but I'm addicted to making them.

Here's a funky looking one, but I like it. 

I made it larger than the other two just to see if I could. It's 6 inches 

long and still folded at 5/8 inch from the top. You can follow the You-tube

Tool Belt Father's Day Card

This card took me 3 nights (after work) to make! I saw a few Tool Belt cards on Pinterest and decided to give it a whirl. I spent one night designing my own and 2 more nights putting it all together. I love the way it turned out. I don't think I will make another though. This was tough! lol

I used the Silhouette print and cut feature for the tools. I also used eyelets, brads and candi dots for the embellishments. The pockets and belt were inbossed with the Craftwell @ebosser folder Delicate dots. Yes I said "inbossed"because the dots are on the wrong side of the design, but I ended up liking the way it looked, more masculine. The card base was embossed with the Craftwell @ebosser Dotted Elegance. The phrase is from the Silhouette store.

Birthday Card for U.S. Marine

This card was made by Special Request. It was a bit of a challenge because I had no idea what a Marine's Dress Uniform looked like and I told the person I was making it for that this may be above my skill level but she insisted that I could do it. After researching for most of the day, this is what I came up with. I used a file from the Silhouette Store and altered the collar to fit my needs. I got the emblem off of  Google and traced it. While it did take a bit for it to come together, I really enjoyed making it and I hope she likes it.

Here's the T-shirt I made for my FIL to go with their new car.  Sorry it's wrinkled but I had folded it up and put it in the bag, then I remembered that I hadn't taken a picture.

I couldn't find a SVG for a Chrysler 300, so I had to make one. I sent this to my Mother-in-law instead of my Father-in-law because it was feminine looking and I wanted to give her something to commemorate the new car

I highlighted the lights, windows, door handles and grill with glossy accents and Wink of Stella.

Here's the hubby's shirt for his new toy!!  He loved it! (Thank God)

Father's Day Cards with Embossing Paste

Here's some cards I made for my husband and Father-in-law for Father's Day. It was painstaking hard!!! You have to be careful with "guy" cards not to make them too feminine. No Bling!!! No Ribbon!!!  That's a problem for me!!!  lol

 

I did get to use my new Embossing Paste from Dreamweaver. I love this stuff!!! It's thick and glides over the stencils really well.  Be sure to scroll down and check out the close-up. Did I mention this is my first time using both the Embossing paste and the Stencils.  It's not perfect but hopefully I will get better with practice.

Here's the inside

I cut a separate piece of cardstock about 4 inches high, rounded the corners, decorated and stamped it. I left a 2.5 inch opening in the middle to slide in a gift card.

 

This is the Embossing paste that I used.  You just tape the stencil down on your cardstock and spread with a craft spatula, lift slowly and let it dry.  It took about 30 minutes t dry.

Here's the Stencil. There is no name on it, so I can't tell you what it's called.
