Sympathy Card

This is the type of card you dread making but you know that you have to put your heart into it. For this card, I used an embossing folder by Sheena Douglas called Luscious Loosestrife. I've had it for quite some time but never came up with a way to use it until now. I used Copper Shimmer cardstock from Michaels and boy let me tell you, it is hard to stamp on it without it smearing. I know to use Staz On but I didn't have any Navy Blue so used Ranger Denim Ink and heat set it. It worked. The butterflies were created with the Martha Stewart 3 in 1 Butterfly Punch.

Inside: Sentiment is Justrite Caring Thoughts stamp set.

Sympathy Card

I loved the way this card turned out, even though it's for a sad occasion. I used the Impression Obsession Calla Lilly stamp. The embossing folder I used is from Crafters Companion, it's called the Leaf Vein folder. "With Sympathy" is from the Close To My Heart Sincere Expressions stamp set.

Masculine Cards - Stampin Up Wild Cats

These are 2 cards made with the Stampin Up Wild Cats dies and stamps and the Stampin Up Diorama dies.  I loved making these. I didn't have anyone in mind when I made them but I'll be ready for any male birthdays, inspirational or sympathy cards.

Sympathy Card

I don't usually duplicate cards but sadly, I had several of these to make for family and friends. I used rose paper from Hobby Lobby and the Spellbinder's Cabbage Roses embossing folder to complete this card. The inside images are from the Silhouette Store.

Thank you for visiting. I hope that you will consider returning soon as I plan on posting more often (at least try to now that I'm retired)

Sorry For Your Loss Card

Anna Griffin "Say It Anyway" Stamp set was used to make the label for this card. I used a gold doily from a pack that I had gotten in my Hobby Lobby clearance haul a few months ago. The cardstock is from DCWV Whimsical World and the card base is from the Tuesday Morning haul of Fun Stampers Journey.  The picture doesn't do it justice, it's a beautiful deep burgundy.

Thank you for stopping by.

Sympathy Card - maybe

I made this as a Sympathy Card but once it was done, I was like "this is so not an appropriate card to  send someone that's grieving". It's much too chipper! I'm stuck with it unless I decide to change it later to a Birthday Card or something.
Spellbinders Beautiful Lockett die and Spellbinders Classic Oval dies
were used for the label. The borders are Spellbinders Graceful Fans

Thinking of you

I finally got around to playing with some of my dies today and this is what I came up with. I'm trying to go through and use each of my die sets (oh Lord!) at least once. I plan on purging my craft room soon and anything I haven't used must go.  I better get busy!
